Ruth, my 8 mo GSD is at the stage where all she wants is a job to do and to make me happy. 24/7. I have been using the chuck it stick to get a good long throw for fetch, and also doing the ball work like the flinks video, but I need to come up with more "jobs" for her. I just got her Penn hip results, a 0.4 so she isn't dysplastic but could be without care, and we have taken her swimming, but what other things do you do to wear them out? I know she is bored, but I can't do road work with her or a vest since she is young. We have done some tracking but it helps for her to be tired first. Also, she has been sleeping in the crate and not had 1 accident for months and then the other day pooped upstairs. Do they become total freaks at this age? I know it isn't advised but we had her spayed since I didn't trust my husband and young kids to keep her in, so it's not hormones. And the people who said dog beds were indestructable....6 seconds a dog bed and christmas time in June.
