Ok I've been deliberating over this for the past couple months but am still a little unsure over how much to do. My 14 month old GSD is going through bouts of Pano (diagnosed by vet based on physical exam) and has been off an on for the past month or so. Right now he's down to almost 2 legs, except when he's fairly excited.
My question is, I've been doing very little with him during it, not wanting cause more pain than needed, but when it's taking weeks to heel, is there anything I can do. All my training has stopped, we do some swimming, and that's it. Do you think I can still do some drive work and such. He'll do it, and shows no sign of discomfort, I'm just wondering if it'll start to effect his work if I kept doing it.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
(Just as extra, I've read Ed's article on Pano, and others so I have a good understanding of it, just looking for ideas on whether or not training would somehow suffer by continuing to work). Thanks
(Is it weird I feel a sense of accomplishment by having Ed respond to one of my threads) <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />...maybe my question was just that stupid, lol...
