Has anyone ever heard of or used something called Transfer Factor? It is supposed to be somekind of all-purpose immune system repair. There are several 'wellness' sites that sell it, but here is one that gives you the gist: http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/tf/s/pets.htm
I'm on the board of directors for a rescue group and have been outvoted on recommending this product to people. We supposedly have anecdotal evidence that this stuff clears up allergies, distemper, chronic ear problems, AIHA and a host of other ailments.
I cannot find any claims for or against it on anything other than the holistic sites that sell it.
All I can find it that it is made from cow colostrum, so does anyone know how this would protect either humans or canines against anything that a cow is not susceptible to? I would have no problem recommending it if I can find reports on its effectiveness from someone who does not have a financial interest in selling the product.
I did search the forum but was not able to find any info on it.
