Recently on walks in the park my 1 year old GSD has started to shy away from cycles, something he's never done before!
It doesn't look like he's terrified of them and he doesn't try to attack which is good :-)
However when one approaches he ALWAYS want to face it and move into his prefered position and when it passes be blinks like crazy!
I was thinking maybe he has some problem with the noise from the spokes or something like that but I'm not sure why this is happening now?
What do I do here? Do I correct for breaking his down/sit/stay (I was using the park during mildly busy time for distraction training) or do I start again with this particular problem, address that, then move on?
Had the same problem with a bitch, I parked the bike next to the kennel and tossed her toy around it when she was out also sat on the bike and threw the ball around. Seemed to work for my dog.
