This dog is just amazing. She's a therapy dog, too! As far as I have seen or read, she is the only dog making it in life without the front legs. I have always admired all the dogs who do great with one or both hind legs missing or nonfunctional (and still do!), but this dog is really incredible.
On top of all this, she's a happy dog --- with a job!<img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
When I used to have a pet-sitting business in VA, one of my clients had two "legless chihuahuas" - when she called for our first meeting, I thought she was joking - maybe they had abnormally short legs or something. Nope, indeed she had two chihuahua mixes, obviously littermates, and both had missing front legs. Each dog had normal hind legs, and no front legs - you could see the shoulder blades moving as if they did have front legs, but they didn't. They would walk around on their hind legs, upright like a person, like this dog on Oprah did. Or, they would set their chests down and scoot around using their hind legs for pushing. They had thick callouses on their chest/breastbones from doing this. But I'll never forget the first time I pulled into their driveway, and two little chihuahua heads popped up from the bushes where they had been sleeping in the shade - and then as I got closer - there they were standing up like two naked groundhogs. Amazing. I never did take pictures of them, sure wish I had.
