I am in the process of writing a section for Leerburg's website on raw feeding and other health issues I feel strongly about.
One of the biggest obstacles in the way of successful raw feeding is the vet you have access to for your dogs.
I would like to start a list of holistic, homeopathic and conventional vets that support raw feeding. Even vets that don't push raw feeding but have enough respect for their clients to NOT use scare tactics to bully them into stopping deserve a spot on my list. My vet is very supportive of raw feeding and alternative therapies (reiki, chinese medicine, acupunture, chiropractic) although she is what most would call allopathic. She is very open minded and will help me do research to find the right treatment for my dogs.
If you can post Vet Name, address, phone, email and any other related info here I would appreciate it. It will be a great resource for new people to find the right health care professional for their dogs in their area.
thanks!

Great idea. Cindy, who do you all use in Western WI? Or are you all pretty much self sufficient?

I have a list, actually. I called each person Saturday and left a message saying I'd like a call back if they didn't want to be included. So far no one has called except one, who wanted a qualification. So yep, I will be sending a list of Bay Area practioners.

Cindy, I think you know these, but for the record:
Jodi Bohl, DVM
Eau Claire Animal Hospital
Eau Claire, WI 54703
715 835 5011
Jodi is a good person and a great vet, IMO.
Kevin Landorf DVM
Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital
Eau Claire, WI 54703
715 835 0112
This veterinarian is open to raw feeding and appreciates clients who are active decision-makers in their pet's health. However, this clinic does advocate the lyme vaccine.

I'm just smiling because of this list of open-minded, intelligent, supportive vets, almost 90% are women. <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
