He died from a stingray Barb to the chest whcih according to scientists and medical staff is almost unheard of even when people step on them. I really hope that people will be sympathetic to his feelings about conservation, especially about the animals that few people care about as much as he did (crocs, alligators, snakes, and other reptiles and dangerous animals).

My sister is a huge fan of Irwin and in fact was just using him as a prime example in a heated debate we were having the other day. Needless to say, when she brought him, "exception man" into the equation, I "lost" the debate. His spirit will live forever, as he is now, I believe a true legend.

A great loss for his wife & children & to the world. They will need much support from friends & family (even the world of family that Irwin inspired)My god bless them & guide them thru this difficult time in their lives.
