When the dog is being asked to heel it's very hectic, noisy and mouthy. When doing a long down it seems aggitated and loses concentration etc. Is there any way to stop this and how should it be handled? Cheers John

In many cases its because the training when too fast and the handler skipped training steps leading to the dog not fully understanding whats needed for drive fullfilment. In other words the dog is hectic because of confusion. While its true stat some dogs are simply hectic as a result of genetic issues, these dogs can learn to focus when the training is correct.
