My best student is looking for an ACD puppy or young dog for training - the fella is a super guy and dead-serious trainer and this would be a great opportunity for a breeder to get a good dog into the hands of a serious competitor that is going to title the dog in multiple venues.......which always helps to make a Kennel's name, right? <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I was at the Australian Cattle Dog national specialty and missed this post :-p Is your client in the GA area Will? If you PM me I can give you some recommendations for good breeders. Are the looking to do protection work with the ACD or other performance events? I will be honest and say that finding an ACD that is good at protection work is difficult.
Hello, I have a 4 month old female that I started training, She is doing good with retrieve and very fast... she is a handful though to keep focused on one perticular task..she always seems to keep eyes on everything around her.. if she see's a leaf blowing on the ground she stops and or chases the leaf then goes back to the item to retrieve. I agree Cattle Dogs are hard to keep on a single task with 100% focus. She always wants to multitask. I have high hopes for her though. Good luck in your search.
