I live in Southwestern Ontario. I would like to order from leerburg, but the shipping is going to kill me.
Does anyone know if I can purchase this stuff in Canada? I live in London, Ontario and if I can drive to pick it up, I will be able to save some cash.

One of crappy things about living north of the border.
Easy to find products in USA
Shipping costs are nuts
Duty costs are nuts
I would like to see how my girl likes the raw diet, but if I can't find a good Canadian site, I don't think it will be getting it.

If you go to THK website they have a list of distributors, both in the US and international. There is a place in Toronto that is listed that sells THK. This is the website http://www.fit-dogs.com. Hope this helps.

Do you guys feed homemade raw food and use the Honest Kitchen as a backup?
Or do you use the Honest Kitchen food all the time?
Right now my girl is on 4-5 cups of Canidae food per day. The food seems to be decent, but she takes 2-3 massive poops per day. It makes me wonder what she is actually getting out of the food.
Seems like 5 cups of food = 10 cups of crap, LOL

I feed raw, and I keep THK around for travel and for empty-freezer syndrome.

I have a GSD on raw and, in anticipation of some future boarding sessions, started her a while back on an occasional dose of Innova Evo. I give her about 1/3 cup a couple times a week. This is grain-free chicken/turkey or red meat "kibble" that's pretty close in quality to THK, but it's not dehydrated. Just another option for you. Check here for a local source. JMO.

My husband and I have a 21month old GSD female. We are looking forward to taking a trip, just the two of us, in July. Any suggestions on boarding?

Did you realize that you posted this in a thread about THK food?
At my vet's office, they keep a binder full of information about pet services, like dog-walkers, poop-pickers, training, pet-sitting, and boarding.
Some vets have a bulletin board for the same purpose.
I found my dog- and house-sitter this way. She had her web address included in her info, and on her web site she had several references. I called them and checked her out. Turned out that one of her references was a member of my training club, in fact.
When I was looking through the various ads, I saw several for boarding.
If I were going to board my dog, I would read this guide:
http://www.canismajor.com/dog/choseken.html
and I'd follow the suggestions, especially the part called "Check a kennel out first."
Also, several members here have mentioned that they would not kennel their healthy dog at their vet's, which makes sense to me.
