My GSD pup is 14 weeks and she has crazy prey play drive.

I bought her for PSA(only club in town)and she has a lot more drive then my older non working GSD when they where younger. She bites like crazy and runs around like a bat out of hell. I sort of trained my one other GSD in PP but it is more like training for me and fun tug of war for him.
I think this dog is going to be way different. Bites hard regrips does not quite. Sometimes when she is all worked up and I try to put pup back in kennel she bites me like a hundred times. Fun stuff. She seems to be very smart. Has already learned to be nice to my son. Climbs on things to get on bigger things. Strong nerves has not shown excessive fear in any situation yet. Pup has all working lines.
Had to tell someone my joy. My friends and wife don't get it. Wifw says she never seen a pup so crazy. Calls the pup retarded. I say driven !!

Congrats on your pup Steve, I too know what its like to eat live and breath dogs. Others call it "rambling" I call it entertaining. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

So have I. My now ex-boyfriend and I spent so much time with our dogs (and each other's dogs)instead of each other, that we ended up breaking up (after nine years together). We decided that we would stay friends, however, for the sake of the canine "children" <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />We still breed Dobermans together, and consider his dogs and my dogs, OUR dogs. yeah, you guys think the "other half" accusing you of loving the dog more than them is bad, wait til the kids do it! and you'd think as independent-minded teenagers, it wouldn't really be a concern <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />.....
but i loved it when my boy was little, and a biting monster--i'm just glad that he's *mostly* grown out of it at 9 mo. now if i get bit, it means i was too slow <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />.
now in an effort to add to the discussion: one, redirecting worked fairly well with my dog, and two, maybe when teething sets in yours'll slow down some (mine really didn't <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />.
