It´s my understanding that US buys a lot of PSD from holland, that have a KNPV-certification. Are the dogs from KNPV-lines, or with KNPV-certification, the ultimate dogs for US policework? Or are there fundamental differences between dutch and US policework that makes KNPV more suited for the dutch needs, compared to US use of policedogs?
of all the sports, i feel that KNPV is the best foundation for US police work. with that, a KNPV title does not guarantee that the dog will be suitable for police work here, there or anywhere.
i would rather get a dog with just basic foundation training and no title. but if the dog had to be titled, i'd pick KNPV over all others...
