As a general question i'd like to know a little more about it,like is it just as good as raw,can you feed both, how much would you give, and could you just feed THK as a balanced meal?
It's reccomended to add real raw meat (ground beef/chicken/turkey) to the THK for active dogs, I would add it for any dog. I feed a combination of THK and Natures Variety frozen patties... kinda considering going with JUST the natures variety patties just to simplify things but THK is great food, I'd just never feed ONLY THK, I add a canine multi vitamin and salmon oil as well as the natures variety patties (or ground beef) to every meal.

I use THK as backup to raw, and I too add RMBs or meat per the suggestions on the package when I use it.
It is balanced and complete, and you COULD use it "as is" for a low-exercise or overweight dog, but adding RMBs/meat to it makes it a lot cheaper, as well as giving the dog the chewing-ness of real meat.
I always add salmon oil and Vitamin E no matter what, too.
