I have been trying Vit E oil and Coconut Oil (which has good healing powers) but it's still crusty. Any suggestions to help the dog get rid of this painful nose problem? He's otherwise a health dog... Seems I remember a dog that I used to groom that had this and it was a thyroid related immune problem.... hope that's not the case but it's worth looking into. Cindy cindyr@leerburg.com

She's very high strung so we thought it was nerves- it seemed like she was licking her nose alot. After reading that excessive licking could be a sign of allergies we switched to Caifornia Natural food. Within about 2 weeks her nose was healed up. Prior to that we had tried stuff from the vet as well as vaseline and first aid ointment with no improvement.
