This is Parek (Wonder vom Haus Miller). He's my almost constant companion as I have a home office. Parek is my 3rd GSD but first Schutzhund dog. I wasn't planning on the Sch., but the sneaky lady who found him for me suckered me in before I knew what hit me. Good thing, too, because Parek loves it. I now know what "ball crazy" means. These pictures are him at 3 months and at 11 months, the day he finished his CD (he's gonna be a "dual purpose" dog). I'm training him with the help of Osa Mitchell and Michael Higgins here in Jacksonville, FL, and a healthy dose of Leerburg videos and forum research. Here's his mom http://www.vomhausmiller.com/sina.htm and dad http://www.vomhausmiller.com/boomer.htm
After your post on the heeling DVD I started wondering what kind of pup you had.
Very nice, I love his happy focused expression. His parents are gorgeous and so is he! He looks so intelligent too... lucky you, it looks like you have a great pup to work with!
Definitely no need to worry about starting Tom's heeling program "late"; clearly you're already doing good training with him (especially if you're doing schutzhund, impressive!) and you won't have to worry about lack of drive with him. Hee hee.
Do you have any more pictures of him that you can link to? It's hard to see what he looks like grown up as he's standing in the shade in the 2nd photo, lol.
Oh my, I'll have to get some more good photos of him. Yes, he's quite a character. And lots of drive - he's a Titus great-grandson. We have a great deal of fun together. He lost all his CD points in heeling, since I never asked or expected him to focus like an adult, or be as precise (shows are hard to find around here, so I decided to give it "what the heck" try when a couple came around close to me). You should have seen his recalls, though - dangerous!
