I do some drive building sessions, but I don't know how long to keep making him miss? Also should the reward be from building than throwing it, or letting him catch it and tug, or having to sit than rewad? Thnaks for any insight.

David, Without knowing you or the dog, I'd say keep you drive building sessions fairly short. No need to make him miss more than 2-3 times. You should present the reward (tug toy, I presume) so he can target & bite it and you hold on to it and tug briefly with him, then let him win it. If your doing OB, you can tease him up with the toy, then give the sit or down command & as soon as he performs correctly, present the reward and let him win. Hope this helps some.
