My one dog just eat a whole cooked pheasent. Over the last seven years I can recall my 2 dogs eating cooked chicken, turkey and other birds(bones and all) on more then one occasion with no bad side effects.
I know this makes me sound like a bad parent but there are factors beyond my control for these resons.
My question is has anyones dog been documented with ill effects due to the above mentioned or are ill effects few and far between or just a tall tale--tail ?

My take is that problems from cooked bones are far more likely than problems from raw bones, but that neither one is commonplace.
What I would do is watch the dog for any change in poop habit, decrease in appetite, or any indication of discomfort/pain, or lethargy. I would watch for these things for about two days. I wouldn't be worried sick.
The first time it happened about 6 years ago I got worried.
Since then it has not worried me much but was wondering if anyone had a real life bad experience cause I am sure 90% of American dogs have eaten cooked bird. Dogs eat lots we don't know about.
