Okay, so I was teaching my pup who is 13 to 14 weeks 'Place'
The past two days I have been showing him just like the video does. I do not say'Place' yet, by the way. And I do his training for probably 5 to 10 minutes. So this morning I did his training and had to leave a few hours. I came back took him outside to potty and walk him, and teaching him heel a little bit. Not very long just maybe 4 minutes(Yes I keep time)
Here is the funny part. I bring him in and he goes to his place on his own and as I am praising him for getting on the mat, I notice he is peeing on it.
I was laughing too much to be upset. I think I need to rethink my training though.

Sometimes I'm praising my pup for doing something good when he immediately turns and does something not so "good", while the praise is still coming out of my mouth....so I'm thinking "great, now he thinks he's being praised for THAT". And so it goes
