Hi
Try-ed out free tracking for the first time ever today just so i could video film her on the track today at -10c
I had a god laugh at one of the articles you might see.
This is video is from the end of the track it was nearly 3 hour`s old and we used 24 minutes from start to end and I'm wherry happy about the way she worked the track. no stops and quite stable speed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1UufSuczRE
Trond,
I love a handler that never quits, you have done some very nice work on that dog.
I love the way she tracks, not everydog can free track( willingly).Your dog looks happy to track and gives all her attention to it.When she got off the track on her first turn, she turned left instead of right but then backed up on the track and not off, that was nice to see.She backed up onto the track and turned right, she fixed herself.Boy that was a very nice job!
Well done!
You are making me feel like I have to get out and work on my tracking!!
Trond, the hardest part of Schutzhund for me has been tracking, because I didn't have a good mental picture in my mind of what it is supposed to look like. I'm giving the link to your video to the other tracking newbies in my club. What a nice job you do.
Thanks for sharing your video! I really enjoyed that. I'm going to share the you tube link with our training group. One of the things many of us "newbies" are working on is staying both physically and verbally calm with our dogs on the track. That was an excellent example IMO!! (even though I haven't a clue what you were actually saying - which I think makes the point / example even stronger!)
