Hi tront,
I love the snow field, so cool to see when you live in the dry desert...
Great obedience, you have such a great relationship with your dog , awesome to see, love it
What happen during your Voraus? You cut it a bit, great send out, does she finish when you do your recall from your send out?
Trond, I love watching your videos, keep them coming. I agree with Angelique about your relationship with your dog, she looks so happy to please you and work with you, and you with her.
Tront,
One thing I never do , is give the command free from a distance and from a laying down after a Voraus with me far away.
2 reasons: 1) what reward is she getting for a good Voraus?
She loves her ball, why not walk up to her, position yourself, "sit' throw her ball for reward and then "free".Now she knows she did a good job.Free is not a reward, simply giving the dog a break.
2) It helps that when she does a good job and you walk up to her from a distance ,she looks nice and in attention because she knows she did a good job and something good is coming ,positive outlook.
The reason I am bringing this up is because you said in another thread you wanted a faster Voraus.Well if she doesn't do a good job, she does not get her reward, so why not make her look forward to her ball, I see you use it during your obedience as a rewards and she does a great job expecting her it.You must continue the same thing during her Voraus.I hope I am writing it right. You have a great dog and you can achieve more if that's what you want, when she does her voraus to your satisfaction a reward is best, not free. You asked for an advise on a faster Voraus , and so that's my advise and that is how I reward and work on my voraus.
Yes i have given it some tought and i agre with you on this , iths the simple tings that makes tings better so i will give it a try, and i think it will work.
Thanks
I think you and Aira are an awesome team and you can easily have the "10" in your voraus that you are looking for, a piece of cake ! Many dogs that enter the nationals should have a dog that heals as nice as Aira and look as happy as she does.Be proud of your work
Hey Angeuliqe
I just had to go out and try it today.
% times inn a row and after the 2 time she was going just the way i whant for the voraus
it`s so simple to make smal errors inn training that is a piece of cake when done rigth.
so i will work tis system on Aira now and see how it goes.
I think 6/10 is ok .
Then i mean 6 times riht out whith out down and 4 with full down just to keep speed out upp.
Good for you!
Good news and you know ,I make those small mistakes sometimes, and it takes someone to notice it and I get better and better with good ideas and good advice.I am trying to get a video of my obedience to get some criticism, I like to hear peoples ideas on what I can do better, most of the time they are small things that make the world of difference in dog training.
I think you will get you title 1 in no time. Are you planning on doing one soon?
