I bought an undercoat rake last year, seems to work well enough, BUT I take my male to get groomed anyway. While we are there I eye this rake that this woman has, and it takes ALOT more of the loose hair out than I am getting. Anyway, the lady would not let me "hold" that rake and get a good look at it. I think I found it though, it looks like this shedding rake from Oster.
Anyone know anything about this rake, used it? I also saw this $57.00 "furMinator" do-hickey but it doesn't look like the Oster rake.
If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking.
I'm not sure about the Oster but in case you can't find it...
I bought a Large Coat King when I got my giant schnauzer and didn't really use it until a month ago. Now it is my new favorite gadget! It took an entire trash bag of hair out of him and he definately doesn't look like a briard anymore.
Lindsey, you are a SAINT! That is EXACTLY the rake that this woman had! LOL!!!... She would NOT let me see that thing for nothing, she just pointed at it and smiled at me when I asked about it.
So what type did you buy for your Giant? The coarse, Medium, or Fine?
If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking.
I have one of these rakes. You know, I like it, but it seems that after 5-10 brushings that the blades begin to dull. I dont know if this is customary, but seems like steel blades would stay sharp longer than 10 or so brushings. It did work though. Good.
