My name is Ron and below is Bjanka von Zeder Flusschen, call name Anka. She is 15 weeks old. We are in North West Georgia on 5 acres. I have a wife, Tracy, and 4 kids with an age range of 8 to 15.
Anka's sire is from Czech and a son of Arras Michaelus. He should have his SCH1 title this Spring. Her dam is a daughter of Bastin vom Kokeltal and will have her SCH1 title this Summer.
Anka seems to have very good nerves. She doesn't run from anything she is not sure of she will just stop and study it then approach if I allow. She doesn't like the water though. She will stand while you baith her but will whine. She doesn't try to get out but you know she doesn't like it.
Anka's main job will be that of a deterent. We have people that like to "cross" the property. I hope she will persuade them to take a different route. We thought a strand of electric wire on top of the fence would do this but it just gets cut.
We don't plan on her doing actual protection work, though it seems a waiste of a good GSD not to get a title. I have several of Ed's videos and will raise her as a working dog so that if the abilities are there, my part, we can move forward.
She is very smart. Too smart in some aspects. Below you can see the motivational sitz and platz (I know she shouldn't be off leash but I couldn't refuse). She is having a blast with the training and playing. It is amazing how wound up she can get but still be manageable and then be layed back during evening while the family is watching TV.
I am just simply amazed with this GSD, this is my second but my first was more of just a companion with no real drive.
Here is Anka at just over 5 months. I think she looks great. I would have never believed it but she weighs 58lbs. She is still loving her raw as you can see below.
It is amazing how much a sable changes. This is our first, we now have a second and can't wait to see how he turns out.
She looks awesome, Ron. A very BIG girl. She's just over 5 mo and already weighs 58lbs? Does she seem like a lean 58lbs, or a hefty 58lbs? Might want to adjust raw diet a tad if the later. Other than that, looks like she's making a great guard(looks-wise). Can't wait to see your new little guy!
