Jenn I almost got one when I got my last collie. They are terrier like and very similar to the mini Schnauzer in a lot of ways (except coat, of course). They definitely require an experienced owner who will be a pack leader. If you enter "German Pinschers, what's good about em what's bad about em" (without the quotes) you'll bring up a site that has pretty good information. "A dog wags his tail with his heart." I've always wanted to try one, and I might have the opportunity in late 2007 to co-own one for a local breeder... So I'm trying to determine now if that's something I'd be interested in.

It's a young dog, so it still has that "puppy temperament", but the comparison to the standard schnauzer sounds close to me. The owner commented that it was much more stubborn than his doberman, but he thought it seemed smarter, too. Other than his comments, I know nothing! Good luck!
