Can't help you with the attorney, however, I will suggest you get a bark collar ASAP with your dogs.

What kind of dog does this neighbor own? Does his dog bark at yours? I think the guy needs to relax, and you need to get bark collars for your dogs. Just because the guys an attourney does not mean that he can go around being a prick trying to sue you because your dogs bark. All dogs bark. But I would get the no-bark collars for your dogs before the guy does wig out and take you to court.

First I am not an attorney nor am I offering legal advice.
Even here in California where suing people is common place, being sued for a barking dog is a stretch.
Is there more to this story, have you spoken to them about what they perceive is happening? I would also do a lot of research on local dog law, you may not be a lawyer but that does not mean you can’t be informed. But first call an attorney.
Good luck

I'm sorry this is happening to you..... it's miserable to have a bad relationship with neighbors.
Can you begin a calm dialogue with them so they understand that you want to address their concerns and work with them? They sound a little over-the-top, but people do get weird when they're scared, and it can be startling and adrenalin-producing to have big dogs erupt at you, even with a fence in between.
If your dogs are outside only occasionally, as you mentioned, then maybe you could be there. If you were a presence, in control of your dogs, I'll bet they would have a far different image of them, especially if you had expressed willingness to work with the neighbors.
It's so much easier to deal with neighbors when there's no ongoing animosity -- and I know that I can overlook a lot more when I know the neighbor is trying to reduce the problem.

what about a muzzle instead of a bark collar....Part of the resasons i got the gsd was my wife was stalked twice so far, both people were cought, but she was stalked at work home and over the phone i work nights and shes scared to be alone at times at night, so the dog were purchesed as puppies and were professionally trained,ie sit downstay ect ect but they are very alert,i wwould not want to deter them from doing what i purchased them for .

I would not have made exactly the reply I did if your first post had included this information.
But -- a muzzled PPD?
