Not where they needed to be. Of course, their sweet children would never do something like that.
I don't particularly care if one was a minor. I think they should both be subjected to extreme pain, never be able to own an animal or have kids, and preferably have their lives ruined forEVER. In fact, they should be put in prison for life without parole since their next victim will likely be a little kid. Or maybe hung. Just save the cost and trouble of prosecuting them later. And the parents should be held responsible as well for generally failing in their responsibility to raise their teens with integrity.
Sorry for the rant. I am not feeling particularly merciful today, or ever if animal (or child) abuse comes into the picture.
Where were their parents??? Where were their parents is a great question when you see a kid staying out past their curfew and maybe drinks a few beers to boot.
Not trying to attack you Terry but that sadistic, depraved act requires more than parents!!! Either their parents are part of the problem (safe assumption in my book) or these two kids were born with a "perfect storm" of bad wiring, chemical imbalance and horrid abuse from someone. Honestly, I don't give a rat's ass why they are like that. They are. They need to be introduced to all the nice gentlemen we call prisoners in a federal penitentiary and locked up for good. No one who can do that despicable act is fit to be among the civilized public and/or innocent animals.
Why do people keep posting this nasty stuff? Please put up a content warning next time; I don't want to read about anything this disgusting and sickening, especially as there's nothing I can do about it
Yes, please list a disclaimer. I'm a parent and though those may be interesting to some people, a parent or any minors who browse this site don't need the exposure.

The reason I posted it was because I believe that awareness helps us remain diligent.

Did you really think you were going to get a feel good story from a thread that was titled "Sick SOB's" ?
Y'all are getting angry with the wrong person. I did not write the newspaper articles, I did not report the stories on T.V. and I do not abuse animals and children. Put the anger where it belongs and contact the proper authorities and let them know how disgusted you are with these individuals, their actions and what you feel their punishment should be.
My intention was simply to inform the dog training community of a crime against an innucent anumal and some traumatized children.

Ed's Comment: Let this serve as a warning. If you do this again you wont post on my web board again. This crap is disgusting. If you want to advertise this stuff - start your own web site.

Terry, I admit that I often have the "Why are they posting this?" reaction.
But then I remember that I do not want to pretend this stuff doesn't exist; I do not want to be an ostrich.
In fact, as you said, I want to flood legislators and judges and LEO with encouragement to make stronger laws in the states that still need them and to fully enforce them in the states that have them.
"Sick SOBs" was certainly enough to make me pause, but I clenched myself and read it (as fast as I could, to get it over with) to see if there was need for emails or letters to someone. When I saw the second story posted, I saw that these young men were being held without bail and were going to be prosecuted on many counts.
I empathize with everyone who wants to avoid such stories. Sometimes I just can't face them, either, and then I would not have followed a link entitled "Sick SOBs."
Terry, I have read enough of your posts over the years to know your above-reproach intentions. Anger toward you is (I suspect) misplaced shock and horror and frustration and a "kill the messenger" reaction.
