ohoh Steven, I know where you are going with this......Judy is waiting.......
I think you can show us a picture ,if it's obvious we'll be able to tell.
I would say hey, if it's a great dog ..WHO CARES!!!
Enjoy your dog, have fun.I'm glad he's not some crazy mutt
i will try to get some pics up asap. also, i agree.. if he's a good dog etc... who cares.... i agree, but its always nice to know lineage... any web sites out there that might touch on the differences?
Judy your dogs sound like he has a good temperament and many others do as well.Over all yes, I like the working line but when a good showline shows a good temperament, I think that's a plus in any dogs, show or work
I agree knowing the lineage is interesting I was not downplaying your thread, simply happy to hear you got a good dog, and well what ever he ends up to be , he's still a good dog.Looking forward to a pic!

I know of someone with a showline who works heavy in SchH and the dog is awesome.
Kelly, if you do a search on American versus showline shepherds there is a lot of information in the archives. Enjoy your dog no matter what the lines.
One more thing I want to add is that even with a papered search regarding the health of my dog when he did get sick, it turned up minimal insight to my questions. Papered or not, you got what you got, love him and train him to know end.
