Thanks D! I am just loving these little guys. Ask me again in a couple weeks though, they have discovered how to bite! I am having flashbacks to Winnie's litter.
Beautiful pups and gorgeous coloring Cindy. I seem to detect a "toughness" behind those cute puppy faces. And I second Amber's comment on the wonderful momma!

Well, I know that Winnie's litter was a little hard on your pants legs and well, there was that day they pulled your pants off in front of the neighbors but, you have to admit they were quite a group to watch!!!
Cindy,
You mentioned you are starting to feed meat and give goats milk. What kind of meat? The goats milk is it store bought or right from the goat?
Shari
Hi Shari,
I feed all kinds of meat, but at first just introduce one protein source. They are eating chopped beef, with store bought goat milk. Don't have access to a goat or I would use fresh milk. I will phase out the milk very quickly, and just let them start gnawing on bigger pieces of meat (i.e. leg quarters, pork hocks, rabbit quarters or halves)by next weekend.
this momma dog will nurse the pups til they leave or I stop her, and they are really draining her physically so I am trying to get some of their nutrtional needs met so she can have a break.
She is eating somewhere around 8 pounds a day right now.

You had to bring that up, didn't you? LOL I have been trying to block that memory for 3 1/2 years!!
