CZECH line, well I am not all that keen on that lineage for PPD but I am not going to say no not a good pick either, it's my preference and nothing more..Brent don't
think that a dog with high prey drive is a PPD dog either you have to have a well balanced dog.Good fight drives, prey drive, defence..
At five months you are talking about 2 years before you he will protect you and that's if he even turns out good enough to be a PPD, not all dogs are.I think you should look into a one year old or 2 year old and work the bite work with a good trainer.Have you looked here in the states or are you searching Imports only?
I have a good breeder for PPD where I got mine.My male is what I wanted for a PPd and he matured very quick,is great with my kids , travels very well and He is with me all the time.THis breeder has produced many PPD dogs and K9 and Schutzhund.I'll PM you his web and you can look him up your self.References are a plus IMO.

Now I want to make this clear ,I am not saying that Czech line is not ppd material, I am saying at 5 moths of age, I think it's a gamble to say that it's a ppd material, cause I read Brents other thread that he is looking for a PPD.I prefer an older dog, when I hear that it is 5 motnhs of age, that pup can grow up to be either a great PPD or not.
Just clarifying what I wrote

with my experience with one and from what I was told, the Czech mature slower. so I'd get with a Sch club or Ringsport club and have him evaluated.

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/401724.html Brent, I have a Cak Piscena Boure son (Cak is the grandsire of the 5 mo old you're considering). Some others here have a Cak son or daughter also. I'm not familiar with the dam's pedigree, but that means nothing as I'm not familiar with many pedigrees at all. Will PM you with some info on Cak.

I don't think the pedigree is the problem it's more the age, though I like the ageof the pup in question but for if a PPD is what you really want than at 5 months you are gambling.. It might be the best PPd or just a "pet" that's what you have to consider, the pedigree is very nice, but pedigree alone won't really tell you 100% of what your dog is going to be.The pup looks very nice ,the pedigree is nice, I think it all comes down to finding a good trainer that can bring the best out of this pup and knows what kind of training your pup will need to be a future PPD and you'll be on the right track.
