Im not sure if i am posting this in the right forum...! and i apologies if i am.
Does anyone have any info on this dog or the kennel he came from.
I know he is currently owned by a kennels in Queensland Australia and was purchased from another kennel in Australia, but was wondering if anyone knows of the kennel he was bred by, and any other info etc.

Hi Shan, this is a czech kennel.
I can not give you info on the dog, I have never seen him. People in Czech Rep (I was told by good people in working dogs) do not use them as working dogs. They consider them as (show line) I have seen couple nice sport dogs out of this kennel and I have seen them in working line dog pedigrees. They are absolutelly stunning dogs they are winning a lot of shows.
Also they bring the standard look to GSD's in Czech. That is what I was told by numerous breeders in Czech.
I am pretty sure they work nicely I just haven seem many of them.
I do not think Warkos is showlines ? he's a Titus and Omar grandson..these are the bloodlines that were used in the Czech Border patrol breeding program..Workos also goes to Drago Humnan in his sire line and his dam is linebred 2-3 on Klara Pohranicni Straze- on of the most well known producers for the Pohranicni straze breeding program.
I am not totally sure but I think Anrebri kennel may have showlines separate as well as the Czech working lines..maybe that is what Martina is referring too ?
Why don't you do some research into these Czech lines, there is some info on this board scroll down further to the Czech working shepherd section and working shepherd section and use the search function.
Try and contact the other kennel who used to own warkos and find out how he produced for them, see what info they will tell you.. also there is another person on this forum Chris Jones from Kampftrieb in South Australia who used Warkos on one of his bitches you could ask him too.
Two of his siblings sita and Rene were imported into the USA, try and find out any info on how they produced... Another member of this board Hanna-leena Joseph used to own Rene..another starting point for you.
I noticed you have some of the bloodlines from the breeders who are trying to breed blacks...they have some working lines in them to get the black colour but they are also mixed with showlines....I do not know what this will produce in terms of working ability and with the Czech lines but I guess you work(?) your dogs and know what they could bring to the breeding...Good luck.
Thankyou so very much Katie this will help me a great deal.
I know the kennel that owned this dog before his current owner, and they have some pretty impressive things to say about him.
Thanks for the tip on other threads i will check them out.
Im only new here so im still trying to find my way around.
As far as wat Martina said about show line...i just took a stab in the dark and guessed that maybe the kennel who bred him did both working and show, as Warkos's pedigree is full of working dogs and his current owner did say that alot of the dogs in his pedigree were full on working dogs for the czech border patrol.
