Another attack by two pit bulls on eight year old and mother. I am sure the story will get around. not sure how bad the damge but would have been worse if not for a neibor and some one shooting the dogs. The mother gave animal control permission to put the dogs down. The eight year old jumped the fence and was trying to get into the house as mother locked her keys in the house.
All I can think of is "thats one of the 7 most common scenarios that causes a dog attack." I wish EVERY parent and dog owner read "Fatal Dog Attacks" by Karen Delise. It's for sale on the main Leerburg site.
It's sad for the family and the dog and the breed.
This past week there was a pitbull attack on a man in Philadelphia. I believe he was just walking down the street. I'm not sure how the man is doing but I read the dog attacked his throat and assume the dog was euthenized since the news said they are checking the dog for rabies.
