I found some dog meat rolls. (This is the best way I can describe them.) When I read through the list of ingredients, I saw lungs were included. I was a bit surprised and wondered if that is a positive or negative thing.
Carolyn, what product are you using? If you link to it you'll be amazed at the intelligent input you get about it! I don't think there's a food out there that this board hasn't discussed!
I don't know about those food rolls. If you're feeding raw, you don't need to buy some fancy packaged roll for your dog. Get some real lungs and feed them that. Guarantee you'll find something cheaper at a wholesale meat store, IMHO. It says complete and BALANCED. I'm not trying to be a bad a$$ here but that's just a marketing ploy to get you to buy their products. Dogs=carnivores. Balance=human concept .
IMO, the rolls are not worth the expense. Did you look at th feeding recommendations?! The Honest Kitchen food would be cheaper, not to mention MUCH better!
I do use these rolls in teeny tiny pieces for training treats. I only do this when my dog's ENTIRE diet will be made up of treats for several days in a row.
It's not a horrible food, but you can do much better in the same price range.
Enrique - you must be feeling fiesty today! LOL. Balance is good, just in the variety sense, not the fortified cereal sense.
Sorry Anne, and everybody else. It's just when it comes down to feeding it really sickens me when companies try to take advantage with their marketing ploys and so on. I still think raw feeding is one of the simplest and most important things we can do for our dogs. It should not be complicated. Remember it's the inside that counts, not the cute little packaging with Fido as a model.
