Dog wants to join in the fun. Dog tackles owner. Owner falls down. Dog stomps all over owner licking her face while it is in range. Food dislodged. Owner lives. Owner misinterprets dog's play as concious life saving. Owner calls news. News prints story. People who know dog behavior laugh.
