I am currently working in Iraq for private security company .I am supervising K9 at security site .Accordingly to my knowledge for a proper search on vehicle a K9 must search the interior of vehicle to limit IEDs concealed in a vehicle and not just the exterior. Because of religion reason in Iraq it is some times difficult in doing searches to the interior of vehicle. Could anybody advise me by ways of reading material to proof the importance of interior search on a vehicle as it is very difficult to explain it to somebody that doesn’t have knowledge of K9?

you should refer your client to israeli security forces work.
here we have the same problem muslims that refer themself as "preyers" dont want any contact with the dog and they personal staff be couse they consider it unholly "nigjes" in arabic.

there is no midelle in it you have to present it to your client as ablack and white issue: for the aproval of avehicle you have to search in all of the vehicle parts in and out, all car doors must be held open while the dog is search, the engine has to be shut down and all passengers should step out of the vehicle.
the dog must have free and full acsses to all of the vehicle parts.

ialso personally recomnad you if it possible that the passengers whould not be able watch the search.

if iwant to be diplomatic and nice iallow the passengers to take they personal belongings such as food or blankets outside and they will be search by ahuman.

thos are the only terms for the car to be search in and you must present it to your supervisor as such.


if the client cannot provide all of thos terms the car canot be search and there will be no approval by ak-9.
remeber in explosives search there is no such thing as "part search".

an expolsive device that will be missed will couse human life losts and the blamming finger will be held against you part or full search no body will give adamn.

muslims are not dumb they anf romurs about checkpoint routine are carry fast. soon all of the passingers will consider themself as "preyers" and teror groups will know your checkpoint wiknesess and if you set as atarget they will use it.

im sory that idont have any writen material to give you its all in hebrew and most are secret but if you like ican write and sighn aletter rfering to all thos facts for you and add most of my certificates as an israeli army k-9 trainer and commander and an security company owner its all in hebrew but ican add transletions to thos.

Thanks for you reply I share and was trained on the same principal and would not accept it as this will lead to a definate way of a traget.Your reply on it own will support my view .Will aslo send you a private mail .
