Someday I would love to see the headline "Local crackhead incarcertated after mistreated pet pit-bulls lead police to stash of meth and stolen SSI checks"
At least the article talks about the owner being the one responsible.
Sorry if that offended you Ed . . . .

I dunno, this story sounds awfully sesationalized to me. I'm glad the kids were not hurt, and sorry about what happend to George, but that story seems to have alot of speculation in it.
I'm wondering why George was running loose in the first place. And if the pit bulls were bent on attacking the kids or maybe the yappy terrier.

It probably is a little embellished. But you never know. Pretty courageous (some would say stupid) little dog though.
But then JRT's are known for their tenacity.
I think that even though he ran out there because drive was stimulated to "check things out" rather than "save the kids" his owner can grieve a little easier thinking that his dog knew to "protect the kids".
And I agree with Angelique on the whole hanging thing.....
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
Factually it is somewhat sensationalized. The writer states that the dogs MAY have been fed Methamphetamines to make them meaner. One simple phone call could have easily cleared up that conjecture. Our local Sheriffs K9 got into a "Wisp" of meth last week in training and it killed him. I guess the wtiter didn't want the facts to get into the way of a good story.
