Hi. I am wondering if anyone has any advice as to how to keep my puppy off my trampoline. The trampoline is enclosed with a safety net. The dog has figured out how to jump up and get through the zipper. I am afraid he is going to rip the netting. Thanks.
When your puppy is outside, he should be supervised at all times. This means always have him on a leash or long line.
When the puppy goes toward the trampoline, call him back to you (or gently reel him in) and give him a reward, either food or toy, for coming back to you.
Make him think that you are way more interesting and fun to be around than that old trampoline.
Keep him occupied all the time and again, even while just walking, keep him on a leash so YOU direct where he goes, not him.
How old is the puppy? We have a trampoline and it is about waist high, is your similar? What started the puppy wanting to get on the trampoline?
To add to what Jan said: I would try to offer the pup some alternatives to the trampoline such as a toy that would keep his attention. He must be a jumper so a Frisbee or a game of fetch might do the trick.
