She's mutt. I'm in love with her. They told us she was a lab retriever mix, but she looks like a blonde version of my since passed lab shepherd mix. Anyone care to take a shot?
These are from a month and two months ago. If someone thinks they could do this but would need a good profile shot I could make it happen!
She was found abandoned during a super cold week in January. I think who ever had her tried to crop it but screwed it up, because there's a bend in the tail. Perhaps she was born that way...not sure. It's adorable watching it swing.
Very cute! Coat like a lab, ears like a shepard, and a tail like a lamb! I've seen a few purebred labs with crazy blunt tails like that (not a desired trait), so it MIGHT be natural, but who knows - people do some weird stuff to dogs too... maybe it was broken at some point, if there is a kink in it.
Mixed breeds are a real mystery sometimes, but her growth and maturation will help you to see more distinctive breed influenced characteristics down the line. How old is she now and how much does she weigh? What's her temperment and attitude like - layed back, crazy for a chase, good bite grip?
i'm wondering if there isn't a little shar pei in there somewhere--just something about her face/ears...but absolutely an adorable pup!! i love guessing about mutts' breeding, and, they tend to have hybrid vigor and are often better than overly linebred pure bred dogs in terms of health, longevity and smarts. best dog i ever had was a rottXGSD.
What a beautiful puppy! Those eyes....and that face. I'm so glad you got her! I'm not great at guessing mixed breeds but she could be what you were told, maybe a Golden with yellow Lab. She's hard to tell. She could be more than a mix of 2. The ears seem to not be those of either Golden or Lab. Side profile pic would be good. It's hard to tell how defined the break between the skull and muzzle is, from a front shot. Both those breeds have a rather defined break.
