Phew, ok the little monster is finally asleep in her crate so here's an introduction

My new little puppy's name is Aja vom Cadogan (nickname: DEMONSPAWN) and she's 9 weeks old today (can you guess who I got her from? lol).
Sire:
V Berry vom Hühnerbaum
Dam:
Orca vom Kapbusch
I pronounce "Aja" the German way and Angelique pronounces it the French way - choose whichever you prefer
I owe a HUGE thank you to Angelique for her incredible generosity in letting me have this baby!! Angelique, you're the best you know that?

VERY Long text ahead, feel free to skip and to CLICK HERE to go directly to her photo pages, hehehe -
Aja was shipped from Las Vegas to Toronto at 8 weeks (one week ago). The poor thing had to make a stop in Atlanta (!) where her flight was delayed 3 hours due to thunderstorms. By the time she arrived in Toronto where I was waiting for her, she'd been stuck in her crate for over 13 hours
She was barking her bloody head off when she was unloaded and I could hear her throughout the entire cargo building (and down the street). I wanted more than anything to let her out of that crate at once, but unfortunately I had to get her papers stamped at customs before they'd let me take her.
Now on weekdays (9 to 5) there's a Canada Customs employee upstairs from the cargo area so it's no big deal, but Aja arrived Saturday night at 10:30PM so I had no choice but to go to the main customs office, a 25-minute drive away!
Fortunately one of the cargo workers was kind enough to drive me there so that I wouldn't have to waste a huge amount of time and money by taking a taxi (I don't live in Toronto, I flew in from Ottawa to pick her up).
By the time I got to customs, filled out the paperwork, had all the papers stamped, fees paid etc. and got back to the cargo area, another hour had gone by (poor Aja).
Even then she came bouncing out of her crate with her tail high and wagging. She jumped onto me, latched onto my sleeve and started fighting
Aaaaanyway, to make an extremely long story short; because of the flight delays we missed out flight back to Ottawa that night and we actually managed to miss the last flight of the night.
Sooo, we were stranded at the airport all night long
Let me tell you, it's a whole lot of fun trying to reschedule a flight, find some water for the puppy and attempt to settle down and rest while your puppy is screaming bloody murder in its crate the whole time
Every single person at the Toronto airport heard her (Aja has a very, very loud scream
) and many people came flocking over (from different floors of the airport!!) to see her and "awww" over her.
Yeesh, good thing Aja loves people... and good thing she's so damn adorable too; I was surprised that we didn't get a single complaint at the airport from the ear-piercing screams! (There were others sleeping there waiting for morning flights - Aja woke everyone up
)
Oh well, everything went smoothly after that point and we're bonding really well now.
Aja had no trouble adjusting to the crate once we got her home - she screams for maybe 30 seconds when I leave her, but quickly settles down after that. She has also been sleeping peacefully through the night without interruption. What a little angel
She's had 0 accidents so far and already whines to let me know when she needs to go out, such a smart puppy.
Her introduction to Taro went really well and Taro is extremely gentle and tolerant with her. He just loves her... I keep them separated except for maybe 1 or 2 minutes a day.

She also LOVES her raw meals, especially rabbit
BTW Aja was raw-fed her whole life, is vaccine-free and will remain that way.
I think Angelique did a phenomenal job raising this litter; Aja is a completely fearless and happy puppy. She's constantly biting at everything (especially me) and has boundless energy.

My plans for little DEMON-SPAWN are to train her as a sport dog. I can't seem to make up my mind between schutzhund and ringsport though...
I guess I'll have the trainers evaluate her and see which sport she's best suited to. I think she'd have a blast in ringsport - she's constantly clamping onto my pant leg and shaking it to death. Heehee.

I'm not doing any training with her yet. We're just doing drive-building at this point... and of course I'm practicing my blood-clotting skills
I think Angelique sharpened Aja's teeth before shipping her to me... I have a hard time believing that puppies naturally grow such razor sharp teeth.
Ok that's all I can think of for now.
CLICK HERE for a buttload of pictures of the little one!!! There's 3 pages of them (for people with very slow dialup: you still have to see this, she's so cute
).
I cannot sufficiently recommend Angelique as a breeder. She's such a wonderful and caring person and went out of her way to get Aja to me and to ensure all her puppies' well being.
I've never seen any breeder go to such lengths for their puppies... anyone interested in one of her puppies can contact me for more details
I'll post updates of her as she grows. Can't wait till she's a few months older and I can really start training her! I can just tell that she's a little genius
