That is a beautiful dog. How's the training going? What part of Ak are you in? I just got back from there at the end of May. My cousin lives in Palmer. Alaska is beautiful. I really liked it there.
Born and raised in Anchorage. Go down to Kenai most summers, and frequent the valley ( Palmer/Wasilla) since I have family there.
It is real nice up here.
But, the training is going good. We're in a puppy class right now, and it's teaching me and her stuff. So I guess that's pretty good. I do take information from here and apply it, as well.
But she's a good, smart, mellow dog, so it's good for me, since this is my first dog I've done any training with.
Ah yes, "the valley". I remember my cousin saying that too. He works in Anchorage at a State Farm office. Alaska reminded me a lot of Colorado in some areas. We went and hiked "the Butte" which is about 1 mile away from his house. He has an ACD that he takes on his hikes all the time. He says they run into moose all the time.
I'm glad the training is going well. I'm sure with what you learn here, you'll be ahead of everyone at the classes. I know we were
Yeah, moose are no biggie. They go walking through our backyard here in town. I just worry about bears. They're getting a little too used to humans here.
And yes, we have been ahead of the class in most aspects. We're still learning some things from there, though.
