One of our former employees is absolutely in love with Ed's dog, CJ. Liza house sits for us and will occasionally take CJ home for weekends. She is like a member of our family and we miss her a lot since she has quit working here.
Her boyfriend contacted me last week about surprising Liza with a proposal, and he wanted CJ to be a big part of it.
We set this up ahead of time and I had a running camera on the desk in the office. We were supposed to do all of this outside but a quick thunderstorm rolled in and we had to change plans at the last minute. I aplogize in advance for my laughing/crying-I was wishing I could edit that out . LOL
Liza was dressed in her 'dog washing' clothes and had NO IDEA what was going on at first. Her boyfriend (now fiance) Dan is sure a great guy! He's a keeper, for sure.
The only thing that could've improved the proposal would've been if Dan had given CJ to his bride-to-be as a wedding gift. Wonder what Ed would have to say about that though, heeheehee
Congrats to the happy couple!!! I hope CJ gets included in their wedding, it seems only right at this point
Anyone who watched The Batchelor last night knows that receiving the final rose in Hawaii is ultra romantic, but truth be told, I would rather have a ring tied around the neck of my favorite dog any day.
Nice job Cindy!
CJ - I hope you got paid more than scale!
Congratulations Dan; much happiness Liza; and best wishes to both of you for a bright, loving future.
That was fantastic! Congrats to the happy couple--even from the video you can tell that they're good people. And Cindy, it's really cool that you thought to record it; I'm sure it's something that they'll both really appreciate having.
You could always have CJ be the ringbearer...I was mulling over training Carbon to do that, but then I thought that there was always the small possiblility that he'd eat one and we'd have to put the wedding off for, oh, about 12 hours or so!
