I am getting my new workingline GSD puppy in two weeks and he's going to be my new competition obedience dog - knock on wood. I'm not new to this sport, but am always looking for new and better ways to train. I would like to get Ed's video on this before my boy arrives, but I keep hearing about Ed putting out a new competition obedience DVD. Does anyone know if I should just go with the current one or wait for the new one?
If you're going to train motivationally with drive, you can't go wrong with the Bernhard Flinks series that Ed has produced.
Dome correctly, the training in drive provides a showy, animated dog that judges love to see.
I have my advanced AKC OB students buy that series and it's made for some excellent obedience competitors.
I don't think it matters, you should also get the Book he sells I think you would really like and get a huge benefit from: http://www.leerburg.com/925.htm
Good luck Elaine...
