Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had specfic limitations on excercise during pregnancy. MY female was bred May 25th, it is not positive she is in fact pregnant.
We live on a small lake and my female GSD loves swimming.
Generally in the summer she will go out over her head and swim back and forth, splash, and enjoy.
Swimming is her favorite exercise and I read where cold water is not good for development of pups.
My female throughout her pregnancy got exercised but only to her own doing, like let her loose out in the desert and she would run , walk whatever she wanted at her own pace, she loves to swim however when she got bigger she stopped swimming to her own doing.I guess she knew her limit, as far as temperature to a dog swimming in a cold water temperature, if it's cold to you but not freezing it's fine and she should know her own limits.
Wehad healthy pups, no problems from mom and she was very healthy during her pregnancy and looks very good today.her pups are 10 weeks now.
