that is terrible...i hope they throw th ebook at him...
i lived in miami for a few years and knew a lot of the officers in my area, including a K9 offive (albeit not the turd in th enew)...they were all very knowledgable and most friendly...
not only does this make the MBPD look bad, but it makes k9 offivers look bad....
Thanks for correcting the link and keeping my life easy Mike.
I just want to say, I do not think this makes k9 officers look bad...I think the majority of people will see this scumbag as JUST what he is, SCUM.
He *must* have just snapped. ??? WTF...27 years??? I'd like to see his previous record...his training records and hear what those who trained with him think. This story makes me sad.
WOW, i cant see the reason that anyone would kick their dog repeatedly, once i could see it (not in agreement but I can see it, a reflex and mistake) but kicking until the dog no longer moves!!!!!!!!!
I have never been one for kicking a dog, never have and never will,I feel very bad for the loss of a K9 in that kind of abuse that ends his life, what a shame.
I am glad it did not play here on our news , it makes people wonder about K9 handlers and if police dogs endure abuse during training, not a good thing for people to wonder about.

I agree with this and hopefully the general public can wade through it all with the same view. All of the K-9 handlers I know are great and if they are having any kind of frustration issues during training, they finish what they are doing, put their dog up, relax for a bit and then try again. Hell, even I do that.
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
I agree with Julio. How embarrassing. I know each person is completely an individual, but to be on the force for nearly 27 yrs?? There had to be some other things that must have gone un-noticed. I don't think a person can just snap and kick to death their own dog in 1 day.
"I don't think a person can just snap and kick to death their own dog in 1 day". Definitely not. To be this overboard emotionally your emotional tank has to be full already. As soon as one more drop goes into that tank it has to spill out on someone. In this case his own dog. Believe me people that new this guy new he was a walking time bomb. You don't hide this kind of stuff. This happens when people don't want to see.
