They designed a particular dog just to be with the cowboys. In fact they wrote a song about it. Yep, the words go kind of like this; Get along little doggie? Isn't that what Dachshunds are all about; long little doggies. DFrost Any behavior that is reinforced is more likely to occur again.

And don't forget the dogs in the cavalry. When the cavalry charged, someone always blew the beagle. As for long little doggies, my western town just had the annual wiener dog races this Saturday.
