I have multiple freinds that have bulldogs and all of them are over weight, but i was wondering if anyone on the fourms has a EB about a year or older but average weight, if so can u post a picture. ive searched google with little luck but bad pictures
My brother has a 4 yr old female that he adopted about 6 mos ago. She is about 52 lbs and comes from good genes. She had some points as a show dog, but no championship. A sweet sweet dog, but I feel so bad for her, she tries to play with my Boxer for a few mins and is gasping for air. Here's some pics of her.
Oh Alex, I totally agree. It IS sad how physically inept they are. Nice dogs, but IMO, shouldn't even exist (with today's standard) with all the issues they have. I know it sounds horrible and harsh, but just look at the health problems that your average, "well-bred" EB is likely to be afflicted with. If he's lucky, he'll just be unable to breathe normally and will die at 8. I don't think people have any business mutilating physical characteristics to the point where pups can't even be born naturally. This is a dangerous mentality, IMO, and sorry to rant, but I just feel so sorry for these guys when I see them, and I know breeders love them because they're expensive and need to be replaced every 7 yrs on average. These dogs are paying the price for a twisted society. Sick.
