I'd love to post a picture of my new puppy but I'm pretty lame with the computer. I've been avoiding even saying anything until I could figure out how but, I don't see that happening at this point.
Anyway she's 8 weeks old this week and just a gorgeous sable. My breeder obviously did a great job with her; not only after she was born by exposing her to the right amount of enviornmental types of things but his knowledge and foresight into breeding is obvious when I watch my little girl. I can't really say enough about my breeder. His genuine commitment to the breed and his love for the dogs have impressed me. We are staying in touch and he has made himself available to me by calling me and asking about her and he has been there to give any advice I've asked for. I'd like to mention his name but I don't know if that is o.k. on the forum.
Her little character is coming out more and more each day. Right now she's busy wrapping her little teeth around anything she can. I think we're going to call her Maya. It took all week to come up with that one. My other two GSD's are Machen and Max. This pup is going to be my competition dog and much more. Again sorry about not being able to post a picture. If Yuko or anyone else out there can help me with this I'd appreciate it.
M names are good. Congrats on your pup! Glad to hear about your experience with the breeder, that's been my experience too...sure wish all breeders out there were like that...
Keep it all fun! "Her little character"
Yes she is named Maya for sure. She is turning out to be a great puppy. I'm used to the puppy stuff like the biting because I already have two adult GSD's. I keep a leash on her when she's out of the crate so I can maintain some control. I think I have some type of bite toy in every nook and cranny of the house right now for the moments when she decides it's time to have fun. Redirecting her works pretty well but yet at the same time I don't want to squash any drive since she's going to compete in schutzhund and then move on to something else.
I'm really happy to hear that you are so pleased with one of my puppies. At the same time, like I said previously, don't ever hesitate to call me if you have any questions about the puppy.
