i have been very interested in the breed for along time and have been researching ccs. I own a house on long island. Our back yard is securely fence and is of an average backyard size. i leave for work at 6:30 to return at 3:00 in the afternoon. i would wake up to walk her/him but she would have to be in the crate as a puppy or in her room as an adult for that time. after that she/he would be take out played with walked alot the whole 9 yards, so to speak. i was wondering if you guys think my scheldule could fit a puppy cc. any advice also would help greatly. i would also like to train her to protect my property as she/he gets older because she would liek outdoors(adequate housing would be purchased for he/she.
when i was about 16 my family had an adopted rott so i personaly consider that a large breed (i know lots of ppl do)and even when he was an adult he pulled with his harness a little and i could handle him so im positive i could handle a corso. also when i was younger i walked the neighbors mastiff Oz. veryy big boy but was gentel, other than that i only have exsperience with a lab, an ACD, and Monty the rott
also to add i have been doing ALOT of research on training. i was also looking into agility but i dint really see alot of cc in that, idk y mabe there are i jsut only have seen very few. i also plan on getting ed's dvds before i get the pup so i can train the pup better.
Are you going to take time off work initally or have someone be able to be there to get the pup out for potty training? 6:30 to 3 is too long for a baby pup to go without breaks.
Hey Tyler, just my advice, but when you get your CC, make sure you get one from a SERIOUS breeder who does a lot with their dogs. You don't want to get it from just anyone, and end up with a dog of that size and strength with a faulty temperament
i havn't read other quote, but ofcourse she thought about that it goes without say.
