Does anyone here know anything about Dog Fancy magazine? History? What is it? Foo-foo conformation pretty dogs? Training articles? I met a person tonight who writes for this Dog Fancy mag. I didn't get a chance to talk to her much, but her next article is on Training German Shepherd dogs...

Our hospital has Dog Fancy. I've only glanced at it and wasn't impressed either way. I remember lots of ads and the articles seemed pretty basic.
Connie and Sue Tuck spoke so highly of the Whole Dog Journal that I subscribed and am glad I did. Very well put together, very informative, and NO ads.

UPDATE: The article will be written for a publication put out every 2 years, no advertisements, called POPULAR DOG. (Dog Fancy is affiliated somehow...) Apparently, the article will be written for the upcoming Popular Dog magazine/book which will be dedicated to the German Shepherd Dog.
Has anyone ever purchased this Popular Dog publication? Thoughts?
They have had a Popular Dogs out for maybe three or four years on GSD's, maybe they are going to update it. They do them on several breeds and topics like obedience training or grooming. The one they did on Doberman's has my girls picture on the next to the last page. She's the one sniffing the flowers.
