rex at 10 weeks looking at me to throw him his frisbee
look at how much he has grown and filled out since being introduced to our other gsd at 8 weeks. the adult is a female and is surprisingly tolerant of rex's aggressive play behavior. however, i keep them separated from each other during the day and night except for 5 minutes or so play time at the end of the day to go swimming in the pool.
thanks so much, i was thinking i missed something w/him and everyone was afraid to point out the obvious flaw. yep rex replaces my beloved (almost) all black gsd who died during christmas from bloat. so sad still.
Adorable pup Keith! And Mel, what can I say - fantastic name for a GSD, and a good lookin fella himself. Very sorry for his loss. Rex will obviously have big paws to fill, but it looks like he'll keep you plenty busy

Dear god, that is one ADORABLE puppy. I love how he's licking the females lips. "I'll be your friend if you promise not to eat me. Oh, can I have some food?" It reminds me of that book..."Are you my mother?"
thanks for that. rex is truly a handful (a joyful handful) but it just amazes me at how tolerant the female is of allowing rex do things like play tug of war w/ her ears and tail/etc.... and this is a female that takes absolutely no prisoners w/ other dogs or stray/feral cats. but w/ rex she just tolerates and accepts it. its really amazing how her maternal instinct must have kicked in (even though she was spayed at 9months). of course i pry rex off as soon as i get there but nonetheless she really impresses me.
