Of course, when the dogs have been exonerated, no one shows up to shout it from the mountain tops... Just wanted to let everyone know that Ving Rhames' dogs did not kill that man...God knows the media would love for everyone to keep thinking they did.
Yep, just about stabbed my uncle with a spoon the other night at dinner when he brought up that story... I think he'll be quieter from now on . People just need to shut up until they really know the story; telephone is a very dangerous game to play.
I read somewhere else that they're presuming because of the man's relationship with the dogs and the location/nature of the bites, that they were trying to rouse him post unconsciousness, if not post-mortem. He would've been pretty chewed-up if they'd wanted to, IMO. Bullmastiffs are not small, weak dogs.
Not any part of this story is funny, but c'mon...they even seized the EB-as if THAT dog could even kill a person if it wanted to! How would it breathe while biting???

All the Mastiff's I have been around have been pretty gentle in spite of their size....who knows. Maybe they had just started "mouthing" him when people found him?
We will never know what really happened..........
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter
They are usually laid-back, but it always seems like it's the Bullmastiffs who get in all the trouble for aggression. I'm glad they're off the hook; it's just too bad that not many people will go back to find out what really happened...or didn't really happen.
I immediately thought this is what happened; if 3 Bullmastiffs wanted to eat someone, he'd be gone. Superficial bites suggest something else entirely.
I guess it doesn't matter, but are we sure they were Bullmastiffs? Because, I saw a photo recently of what was allegedly one of his dogs being seized, looked more like a Fila Brasileiro to me.
