hello, after a bout of chase the frisbee, rex, 12 weeks, lunged at my sock and ripped out one of his big side/side canine teeth. its not bleeding and therefore its not a drama right? i m thinking that as long as it was a puppy tooth, its not such a big deal (and should ease the pain of the puppy play biting?) am i wrong on this? thanks everyone
dont get me wrong, i know all puppies lose their teeth, its just that my dogs had lost them around 6mths, not at 3 mths. i guess though it shouldnt be a drama really........
If it were me I would at least consult your vet and go from there. There probably isn't anything to worry about if your pup is not showing any signs of pain or acting any different. Best to be safe than sorry. Your pup may have dental problems you migh not be able to see.

Noah started loosing teeth at 3 1/2 or 4months old. The first time it freaked me right out because there was a lot of blood in his mouth (we were playing fetch) but he hardly noticed. It clotted up in no time and he just kept giving me the "you gonna throw that or should I go watch TV?" look. My vet said that this was pretty normal for "active" puppies, and not to worry about it. So, don't be too worried.
That doesn't mean that you shouldn't call your vet, just to be sure. Better safe than sorry, and all that.
